EA has done it again. =(

EA has obtained the license to future Star Wars games. I'm not going to go off on a spiel here because at this point it's just expected that EA do stuff like this. Here's a link to the article, it will explain everything.

You should, to see a good franchise be handled by EA and tack on their ridiculous DRM and massive amount micro-transactions, is an awful thing. It is completely anti-consumer.

To me Star Wars stopped a long time ago, I loved playing Battlefront 2 and Knights of the old republic but I'm not sure about new games. I did like the Force Unleashed series though, so mehh I'll give them a try.

Have you tried the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, I find it fantastic. Of course EA controls that as well, so you have a pretty damn poor Free to Play model, but I put like 20 bucks into the game (buying artifact authorization, which is basically the ability to use the best items in the game) and it's just fine. The game is made by BioWare and everything is fully voice acted and the individual story lines are all quite good. However, like a lot of MMOs the filler quests are just that, filler. They rarely contain anything other than the usual. (i.e. go get this, go kill these)

Hmm I haven't heard of it, but I will look out for it and watch some reviews Razz I'm open to trying out a new game as long as I can research into it a bit before hand.
